Quality solid wood entry doors

Wood Entry DoorsClick on "Wood Species" to view some of our most popular hardwood species in their natural states. Not all wood entry doors are available in all wood species, so please inquire. These colors will, of course, change slightly after the wood has been stained and finished. Please also remember that colors do vary among computer monitors. One great way to be sure of the wood's appearance is to order a sample piece from us for a nominal fee, which we will credit back to you after you've placed your order. For an additional charge, you may also request that your sample arrive stained and finished. This way, you'll know for sure whether your choice of wood and finish is just right for project. Our most popular choices for wood entry doors include:

  • Knotty pine
  • Red oak
  • Honduran mahogany
  • Douglas fir
  • White birch
  • Hemlock
  • Hickory
  • Alder ash

The convenience of ordering prehung doors online

Ordering a pre-hung door unit over the Internet isn't as difficult as you may initially think. With a few measurements and the proper attention to detail, your online experience with prehung doors will be rewarding and time-efficient. First, you'll want to measure your current entry door slab or prehung doors, or measure the opening between the studs. Then, determine frame depth by measuring the thickness of the wall. Finally, you'll choose "handing," which is, simply, where you want the lock set to be relative to which way the door swings open. If it opens into the house, you'll want to note the handing as viewed from the inside; conversely, if it opens out from the house, determine the handing from outside. Prehung doors come with 4" heavy-duty hinges in your choice of brass, bronze, or satin nickel finish.
