Our experienced professionals use only the highest quality alkyd resin-based stains and marine-grade soar varnish, complete with ultraviolet inhibitors. All of our solid wood doors are closely inspected before the finishing process even begins. The first layer of stain remains on each door for an optimal amount of time, ensuring that the pigments penetrate deeply into the wood. After close inspection for evenness and uniformity of color, the first coat of UV-resistant polyurethane is applied. With detail hand-sandings in between each coat, the marine grade spar varnish is applied three more times. The heavy applications coupled with the sanding between each step provide the most beautiful and long-lasting finish possible, creating truly breathtaking custom wood doors.
